MSI Burkina Faso
MSI’s program in Burkina Faso is one of the country’s leading family planning and sexual health organizations. It was created in August 2009 and aims to offer its services across the country.
MSI Burkina Faso provides a range of sexual and reproductive healthcare services, including contraception, STI care, gender-based violence care, pre-and post-natal care, and post-abortion care for clients who have undergone a former unsafe or incomplete abortion. These services are offered in all administrative regions of the country, across urban, peri-urban and rural areas.
To ensure that no one is left behind, providers at MSI Burkina Faso are trained to deliver tailored healthcare for marginalized and underserved communities, including women living in extreme poverty, people living with disabilities, and refugees.
Still as part of its inclusion policy, MSI Burkina Faso works with a network of associations and community groups, including the association of people living with disabilities, which work alongside MSI Burkina Faso in awareness-raising activities.
In 2022, MSI Burkina Faso supported 255,033 clients, 17% of which were adolescents. Through a mixture of access points, including centres, outreach teams, and MSI ladies/Men, we ensure clients are offered the reproductive choices that are right for their future.
