MSI’s 2030 Research and Learning Strategy outlines how we will generate evidence and learning to advance knowledge in the sexual and reproductive health and rights sector.

It is underpinned by MSI’s goals and commitments under the MSI 2030 organisational strategy and was developed through a consultative process and literature review. It centres on our plans to address critical knowledge gaps in the sector, setting out 12 priority research areas focused on topics including contraception, abortion, and integrated health system strengthening.

It’s intended to steer MSI’s research activities and to foster a learning culture across the organisation. Under this new research strategy, we aim to test innovative approaches, expand digital health solutions, and create social and behaviour change to build equitable access to reproductive health services and information.

It also emphasises collaboration with partners, adaptive learning, and rigorous data systems to build and share a knowledge base that will drive evidence-based programme improvements and policy change both within and beyond MSI.
