Stop criminalising women for having an abortion

Home      Campaigns       Ask your MP to support abortion law reform

Members of Parliament will no longer be voting on abortion law reform in England and Wales

Due to the UK General Election, the Criminal Justice Bill has been dropped, and no abortion related amendments will be put to a vote.

This means that women facing violating investigations will have to wait for reform – and with laws dating back to 1861, they have waited long enough.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this campaign. If you’ve written to your MP and spoken to your friends, your time and effort has not been wasted. It is always useful for MPs to hear that their constituents are pro-choice.

At MSI, we pledge to continue the fight for progressive abortion law reform and decriminalisation in the next Parliament, whenever and wherever we can.

Across 36 countries, we’re working to provide reproductive healthcare and advocate for reproductive rights, supporting over 90,000 people with their reproductive choices every single day. With your help, we can go further.
